Subject: (engineering jobs) Webmaster, Web Programmer and HTML Associate

Thrive Oxygen, the #1 conusmer health site and subsidiary of Oxygen, the exciting new Women's network, is looking to hire a Webmaster, Web Programmers, and HTML Associates for their San Francisco office. We are located on Main Street @ Howard which makes for an easy commute from anywhere in the Bay area.

The Webmaster is an integrator of all site systems and technologies that are presented to users. He or she will be responsible for the DAILY changes to both our aol and web presences; will work on site wide reorganization and template modifications; will ensure the integrity of the site, oversee website systems such as statistics reporting, audio, video, chat, message boards, mailing lists, etc; and will reccommend new, related systems and technologies as apply to the above. Webmaster candidates should have basic or advanced knowledge of webservers, email protocols, html, chat software, web production and management tools, and be able to integrate more complex programming tools. They should have experience installing maintaining a Netscape Enterprise web server and Unix file servers.

The Web Programmer develops, maintains and enhances databases, publishing systems, and interactive elements as necessary for the site. Programmer candidates should be familiar with if not fluent in HTML, Javascript, Perl, Java, SQL, and Unix file system usage.

HTML Associates work with technical Prodution Managers and content producers, artists and corporate partners to develop new web site programming. They should be familiar with working on remote web servers. Unix experience, knowledge of Javascript, AOL's Rain Man and other programming languages are a big plus. They need to be able to produce efficient, error free HTML, and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
